At Atrium Health, we encourage our patients to become more involved in managing their health. Our patients have been viewing lab and test results, discharge instructions and sending secure messages to their doctor’s office for several years through MyAtirumHealth, our patient portal. As a new benefit of MyAtriumHealth, we began offering access to their healthcare notes, called OpenNotes, on September 1, 2015.
Patients can see notes from the ED, urgent care, inpatient, practices and radiology results. The type of notes available in MyAtriumHealth include history and physicals, operative and procedure notes, office visit notes, and scanned documents. These notes are available upon final signature except radiology reports are not available until seven days after finalization.
