Johns Hopkins Medicine started piloting OpenNotes in July 2015 and gradually expanded over the ensuing years. As of March, 2018, all ambulatory (outpatient) notes are shared except those from providers in general pediatrics, mental health, Gynecology/Obstetrics, and from Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital in Florida.
