At Kaiser Permanente of Georgia, our members have secure access to their personal health information via My Health Manager on our kp.org web portal. Here, they can actively engage in their own health care on a 24/7 basis. For years, members have securely accessed online features such as viewing lab results, emailing their doctor, scheduling or canceling routine appointments and ordering prescription refills.
In December 2016, we began providing members online access to the visit notes written by their doctors, nurses and other clinicians. The visit notes are available following most primary and specialty care office visits, scheduled telephone appointments or integrated video visits.* Members must be registered on kp.org to access this feature. After a visit, the member will receive an email from us (typically within 48 hours) indicating that they have a new “visit note” available to view on kp.org. Once they log on to “My health manager on kp.org,” the member will see the visit notes listed on the “Past visit information” tab in their record. This new enhancement empowers our members to stay connected with their health care team and be more engaged in managing their own health care.
Kaiser Permanente of Georgia – the state’s largest nonprofit health plan – serves more than 300,000 members in 28 counties in metro Atlanta and four counties serving Athens. Care for our members is focused on their total health and guided by their personal physicians, specialists and team of other health care providers.
