On February 10, 2017, NYC Health + Hospitals began sharing outpatient visit notes with patients through our secure patient portal, MyChart. OpenNotes is currently available in primary care and specialty care clinics at: Queens, Elmhurst, Coney Island, Gotham/Cumberland, Woodhull, Bellevue, Gotham/Gouverneur, Harlem, Gotham/Sydenham, and affiliated Gotham neighborhood clinics, but will be implemented system-wide by 2020. NYC Health + Hospitals’ top priority is to improve the patient experience and we believe making notes transparent will empower our patients to better manage their care.
