Amanda is the Salesforce Administrator for OpenNotes, and a member of the Communications and Dissemination teams, with additional support, provided for the organization’s grant writing and submission projects.
Before joining the OpenNotes team, Amanda worked in grant management and marketing for several non-profit organizations in Massachusetts. She has project management experience in workforce development, education, community action, and, now, healthcare.
Amanda studied Ethics at Union University in Tennessee before pursuing two master’s degrees at Boston University School of Theology, where she studied Hebrew Bible and Practical Theology with an emphasis on narrative theology, art and aesthetics, and trauma studies.
In her life outside of the office, she is an herbalist in the vitalist tradition and manages her own holistic healing business. She is passionate about supporting individuals to become full partners in their own health care and is proud to support the OpenNotes mission to bring greater clarity, efficacy, and partnership to patients and health care professionals alike.
